through the coloured glass...

lies a world filled with the hope and promise of our being.. shades of colour as varied as the people who inhabit this world we call home.. from the darkest indigo that stretches across the landscape as the sun retires in the evening, to the brightest shimmer of greens in a peacock's tail fanned out in miraculous display.. the bluesey notes of soft Jazz as it floats along the yellow hues of sunshine on a summers afternoon..

the soft pink of a newborns sleeping face or the golden brown of sun kissed skin. through the coloured glass, there is space for each of us to shine and reflect the shades of our being.. shades combined to paint a canvas of perfection... who can doubt this is so... 



make the world dance...

hands up, jumping to the rhythm of the universe, swaying to the winds of Love, humming to the tune of creation, tapping out the beat of your heart and the pulse of life, let it all go and just get lost in sunshine and freedom, lose your inhibitions and let that inner child groove on with no care in the world.. who cares who sees you, who cares what they think.. just feel the transformation of your very Soul... replace serious with joyous abandon, even for just a moment.. your spirit will crave it and bring you back again and again.. maybe it will catch on... maybe it's you who will make the world dance...

wrapped in the context of every moment is our ability to see Love as the answer.. the absolute choice to use our vision of Love as the filter for every situation we find ourselves in. imagine for a moment if our first instinctual response to anything was one based in Love.. how drastically that would change not only ourselves, but imagine the impact on our world and society. how many situations could be dissolved, how many disputes could be settled, how many lives could be saved if all were approached with humility and deep caring...Love..

how would this change your situations, home, work, personal relationships, your ability to put yourself in someone else's shoes so to speak... how transformational for our souls that would be. some will think it a rather simplistic or Pollyanna view of the world, but we think nothing of striking out first, why not the other end of that spectrum? shoot first and ask questions later has become so ingrained in our society and to what end?

can we find a way to colour everything with love first, and in asking the questions solve them the same way... it is after all, our own choice, and our duty to each other. can we move beyond personal gain, the need to have ever increasingly more and more, and become human again, with the capacity to honour and protect each other, guide and nurture.. just for today, keep these words in your spirit and soul, and see how your day changes..

in the spaces of time between sure and unsure, when your path splits into left or right, when the choice is to turn the other cheek or respond in a manner that leaves you wishing you could take it back, find the moments of Grace..

when everything seems to be wrong and uncomfortable and Joy seems distant and unreachable, when you think you can't face one more day of this world, when you look in the mirror and no longer recognize the face looking back at you, fill the moment with Grace...

when your Heart just can't take one more broken moment, and your Soul longs for peace and tranquility, when you feel you are alone and no one cares any longer, in that silence.. create a moment of Grace...

let it fill you, guide you, calm and colour you, wrapped in these moments of peace and spirit centered-ness, let it humble and cleanse and transform... for all of your time in His creation, find the moments of Grace...

it's your journey...

climb those mountains, aspire to the heights of your dreams with no limits or anchors to impede your ascent.. take in the view with each step along the way, forget not that the journey is as much about this trek onwards as is the ultimate summit...

let go of anything that keeps your progress disabled.. free your soul of distraction and uncertainty, lose yourself in the process of letting the "stuff" melt away, leaving you, just you... you
smell, hear, taste and absorb as if everything was brand new to your senses, remember the "first" times of your life, feel the spirit and joy of this renewal.. walk with purpose knowing that each step moves you to your dreams, wrap yourself in blessing and dance like a small child... life, your life.. your journey...

you can never take it back, the words, the actions of your life.. they emanate from your being out into the universe on the trajectory you have given them. be that filtered with love or coloured with haste and regret. each footfall and decision tracks onwards, each action or word built into the fabric of your being and your legacy. what you do today.. echoes in Eternity... for Eternity...

look around where you are right now,

look for the miracles placed before you, abundant and overflowing. 

be it the blue of the sky above,

the soft pink tones of blooming cherry trees,

the fresh green of grasses and budding plants.

perhaps the glint of sunshine on rolling waves or the soaring grace of a skyward bird.

see the face of His love in all of creation. see it in your neighbour,

feel it in the breath of wind that caresses your face,

taste it in the food that nourishes your body and soul,

pray it in the words you speak to each other.

emulate this love in all you do,

in all that you are..

see it in everything,

while we are here in this place,

in His creation,

waiting to see love Himself...

as we take our first breath, our lives are destined for greatness.. a blank canvas or page yet to be filled with colours and poems of our existence.. the duty to be a contributor, a helper, compassionate and kind.. the paths of journeys are endless and ever changing, singing to your soul with each step, calling to your heart to hear the voices of all who have walked before you.. a world where the ordinary can be the crucible for change and joy and peace.. there is always a next step, take them as they come, learn from this walk, and when you learn, teach... offer up who you are, let your Spirit soar to unlimited heights and know that you are never alone.. do what you came here to do, what your essence knows to be true.. for you, like the rest, were created to make a difference...

who will people say you were...

when it's all said and done and you have taken your last breath, dreamed your last dream, shed the last of your tears.. what will you leave behind.

of all the stuff that we gather, that fills our shelves and closets and garages to overflowing.. the picture albums full of snapshots, the jewels, the must have latest gadgets.. is this who you are? the loved ones left behind to clean up or clear our your treasures may find items that make them laugh or cry, pause to relive moments together, but is this all that is you, your essence? will they say you always drove the nicest car, lived in the best homes, took the most expensive vacations, threw the best parties.. or will they say you were loving, and caring and had the biggest heart. Will they say you were full of Joy, full of compassion and hope.. that you lived each moment to it's absolute maximum..

when there is nothing left of you but sweet memories.. who will people say you were...

in the depth of stillness...

hear all that is life in the stillness, listen down below what your ears tell you, down to where your soul is connected to life and hope and joy. the stillness that speaks to your conscience, that guides your dreams, that heals all that is broken and tired. drink of the stillness until every molecule of your being is alive, overflowing with energy and song. let the stillness peel away the distraction, the issues, the rushing madness of existence, and let it renew itself, cleansing and restoring.. end your searching.. find yourself.. in the depth of stillness..

not that easy when you're lost...

"not that easy when you're lost, when you want to be lost"... the trigger line from my latest can't stop listening to it piece of music. This is is called "Your Name (Down tempo Version)" from Sunlounger's album "Sunny Tales", this track features Lorilee.... the music takes me to a place of sunshine and cool breezes, but the lyrics are melancholy in their story... an almost perfect blend of happy-sad... chill but with that little twinge of regret, missed opportunity or what if? visions of a tropical cocktail in one hand watching lazy clouds sail past, with the ocean lapping the white sand at my feet.

it let's me get "lost", carried away on a melody wrapped mind excursion of memories.. peace and joy and stillness but for the notes flowing through my brain...

where do you lose yourself when you need to be lost.. a book, deep in the forest, by the water..

maybe more importantly.. do you allow yourself the pleasure of being "lost".....
